Shortly WhatsApp will Allow you to Lock Chats using Passwords

WhatsApp is a messaging app that allows users to send text, voice, and video messages, as well as make voice and video calls over the internet. It was founded in 2009 by two former Yahoo employees, Jan Koum and Brian Acton, and was later acquired by Facebook in 2014.

News is roaming around, shortly WhatsApp will allow you to lock chats using passwords. WhatsApp offers a feature called “chat lock” that allows users to lock individual chats with a password or biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or facial recognition), providing an extra layer of security for sensitive conversations.

WhatsApp is adding new protections to help keep your conversations private following the introduction of group chat and audio message privacy features. Whatsapp beta Android has added the ability to lock chats with passwords and biometric authentication. WABetaInfo users, as usual, were the first to notice the new addition.

According to the news, the app will soon introduce a new fingerprint sensor to lock the chats. WABetaInfo claims that the app has a password set. We anticipate that the password will serve as a backup to fingerprint recognition.

This option will appear for individual chats as well as group chats, which you will find in the group at the chat info option.

According to the release news, it appears that all locked chats will be transferred to a vault, they

will be separate from your regular chats. You need to authenticate once to open the hide chats. If a user forgets their passcode and wants to access the chat immediately, it’s unclear how WhatsApp will respond.

But here are some questions that are arising around, how notifications of lock chats will appear, how the media shared in these conversations will be treated and the number of chats that can be locked at once.

Here are some of the steps to lock a chat on WhatsApp.

  1. Open the WhatsApp app and go to the chat you want to lock.
  2. Tap and hold on to the chat to select it.
  3. Tap on the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the screen.
  4. Select “Lock” from the dropdown menu.
  5. Choose your preferred authentication method (password, fingerprint, or facial recognition).
  6. Set up your password or biometric authentication.

  1. Comment un couple devrait – Il gérer cela une fois qu’il découvre que son conjoint triche ? La question de savoir si un mari doit pardonner à sa femme sa trahison est un sujet qui mérite d’être discuté.
