Tiktok introduced a new feature, A time limit for teenagers!

TikTok is a popular social media application that allows users to create and share short-form videos with their friends, followers, and the world. The app features a wide range of video editing tools, effects, filters, and music options that users can use to enhance their videos and make them more engaging.

TikTok has become a cultural phenomenon, with millions of users and countless viral videos that have captured the attention of people all over the world. However, the excessive use of everything is bad. It has seen that teenagers and youngsters spend most of their time on the application which not only affects them physically but also leads to depression and many social issues i.e. bullying, harassment, nudity etc.

The app has been working against these issues and just came up with the solution. TikTok announced that it was introducing a new feature that would limit the amount of time that teenagers can spend on the app. This feature is part of TikTok’s ongoing efforts to improve the safety and well-being of its younger users.

Tiktok Introduced a new feature, A time limit for teenagers!

Under the new rules, users aged 13 to 17 will be limited to a maximum of 60 minutes per day on TikTok. Users aged 12 and under will have their accounts automatically set to a maximum of 40 minutes per day. These time limits will be enforced through a feature called “restricted mode,” which can be enabled in settings of the application. The app also has new feature in which parents can take the control of their children’s accounts and restrict access to certain types of content.

These new measures are part of a wider trend among social media companies to take greater responsibility for the well-being of their users, particularly young people. By limiting the amount of time that teenagers can spend on the app and introducing other safeguards, TikTok hopes to create a safer and more positive environment for all of its users.
